I’m Becky the owner of Riley’s Smiley Hounds. I’m based in East Sussex (Uckfield & Laughton). I completed my City & Guild L3 Diploma in Dog Grooming course in September 2022 at Plumpton College. I am fully insured for Dog Grooming, Dog walking and Dog Sitting. I have completed a First aid.

I have always had a love for animals from a young age. I was brought up with dogs, cats, rabbits, fish you name it we had it! I have two dogs myself called Hugo and Ruby, I have 3 cats Ginger, Jessie & Sophie and I have guinea pigs Tinkerbell. Eeyore & Lily. My animals are my world and even though one of my dogs are rescued I wouldn’t change him. From a young age I always wanted to be a vet but could never get my head down, so I looked about a dog grooming course because of my love of dogs and that’s why I am here today!

I currently run my Dog grooming business alongside another job which is working in a care home looking after the elderly. I have been doing this for 15+ years which I love.

Hugo & Ruby

When at college these were my demo dogs also Truffles my mum’s dog that helped me through my course. Ruby was my first dog, she is a little princess, she needed a friend so that’s when I got Hugo, I rescued he was only 8 months old. Hugo has taught me a lot when dog grooming. With his stubbornness and just being a big softy.

My girls see Becky every 8 weeks, they are always excited to see her. They go in scruffy and come out looking beautiful and smelling lovely. I like that Becky always sends a photo of them before I pick them up to check that I’m happy with how they look, and they always look great!

Our boy Monty had his very first trip to the groomers today. Becky was an absolute superstar with him. She was very good at taking it slow and reassuring him every step of the way. He started off a little apprehensive but came out skipping around and saying ‘look at me’ he even had a little spray of cologne for the finishing touch! I highly recommend Becky, she is professional, patient and lovely
